Projects inside the bavarian research cooperation
FORTWIHR.
In this interdisciplinary research initiative computer scientists, numerical
mathematicians and engineers work together on the simulation of technical
processes on supercomputers.
Our contribution mainly consists in methods for the solution of partial
differential equations and efficient implementation methods on modern parallel
computers in the following project fields:
- Design of efficient computation methods for problems of fluid dynamics
- Design of efficient parallel algorithms for the computation of fluid
dynamics in complex geometries.
- Numerical simulation of [Schmelz- und Beschichtungsprozessen]
- Parallel numerical mathematics in [Bauelementesimulation]
- Parallel numerical mathematics in process simulation
